Pontoon Rental Conduct  Policy

         We are excited to provide you with a fun and memorable time on the water. To ensure a smooth experience, please take a moment to review the following important details about your rental.

Driver Requirements & Safety:

• The driver must be at least 21 years old WITH 2 years of experience operating a watercraft
• The driver must obtain a Boat Rental Permit prior to the reservation. If you do not have one by the time of your rental, you will be required to take the 180 day temporary Permit before leaving the dock. Please note this will reduce your time on the water.
• Lakes can be busy and rough. You need to know what you’re doing out there. Use our Captain Services!
• Drivers MUST NOT drink alcohol or be under the influence of drugs. 
• We ultimately have the final decision if we think you are capable of renting our pontoon or not. We have the option to cancel the rental if we think you are not capable. In the case of canceling the rental, there will not be a refund as this policy 
• Follow all local boating laws, wear life jackets, and adhere to speed limits and no-wake zones.
• All passengers must be present at time of instruction so they can sign the checkout form and waiver. 

Respect & Conduct Policy:

• We welcome all families and parties! We do not accept groups that are unruly,  disrespectful or heavily under the influence. We provide luxury equipment and service with respect and expect the same back!
• No smoking is permitted on the watercraft. Any evidence of smoking will result in a fee. 
• Any negative behavior will result in an additional charge up to $500

Damage & Responsibility:

• Renters are expected to arrive on time for your reservation.  We frequently have back-to-back reservations, so timely start times are very important to keep our schedule running smoothly. A 15 minute grace period is provided. Being late more than 15 minutes of your start time will result in a $50 late fee.
• We will supply the watercraft with a full tank of gas. Please do not add fuel to the tank.
• We document the entire unit including the propeller before every departure. Any new damage or missing equipment will be charged accordingly. We encourage you to take as many pictures as you can! 
• Return the pontoon in the same condition it was rented to avoid additional charges.
• Renters are responsible for safe operation and ensuring passengers behave appropriately.
• Renters are expected to arrive on time for your reservation.  We frequently have back-to-back reservations, so timely start times are very important to keep our schedule running smoothly. •  No call/ No show will result in reservation cancellation after 15 minutes of your start time. We recommend arriving at least 30 minutes before your start time. 
• Renters are also expected to return at or before the specified end time. Being late by 15 minutes will result in a fee of up to $150/hour plus the cost for lost time of the next reservation.

Damage Deposits:

•    We require a $1000 damage deposit charged on a valid credit card. This is due at the beginning of the reservation. You will get this back in full after the rental inspection IF there is no new damage.

•    Failure to Bring Credit Card may result in Cancellation of reservation without refund. 

Same-Day Cancellations:

Customers who cancel within 24 hours of their rental start time will not be eligible for any refund or credit (with limited exceptions). The full payment made by the customer will be retained by Relax & Rent.

Within 7 Days Cancellation:

If a renter cancels their reservation within 7 days of the scheduled rental time, they will not be eligible for a refund. However, the renter will receive a reschedule credit equal to the full amount of the original rental fee. This credit can be applied toward a future rental and must be used within 30 days of the original rental date. Rescheduled rentals are subject to availability, and pricing may vary based on seasonal rates. Failure to use the reschedule credit within the allowed timeframe will result in forfeiture of the credit. No exceptions will be made.

Exceptions to Cancellation Policy: 

If you feel you have a special circumstance that warrants a refund despite late cancellation, please call as soon as you are aware that you will not be able to make your rental. Exceptions will be made on a case-by-case basis, based at the sole discretion of Relax & Rent. Thank you for your understanding.

Inclement Weather: 

Guests have access to the same weather forecasts that we do and are encouraged to monitor conditions before their reservation. If the forecast appears unfavorable, please contact us the day before your reservation to discuss rescheduling options.

If weather conditions make it unsafe or unfit to go out on the water, we will provide either a full refund or a reschedule of equal value. Reschedules are based on the value of the original reservation.

If guests choose to proceed with their reservation despite the forecast, the reservation is considered confirmed. Once the boat has been prepared, launched, and staff have been scheduled, full refunds or full reschedules will no longer be available due to weather experienced during the rental.

Light rain, passing showers, or brief weather interruptions generally do not qualify for a full refund. Partial refunds may be issued for unused rental time on a case-by-case basis.

We are easy to work with and ultimately want you to have the best experience possible on the water.
